Mantra Meditation Handouts

Mantra Meditation - An introduction to the concept of using directed concentration in the form of a repetitive mantra. This handout includes a number of suggestions for mantras, from nonsense syllables to prayers to affirmations.


There are 2 basic elements central to meditation practices:
1. A mental focusing device, such as watching your breath or repeating a word, phrase, prayer or sound.
2. A passive attitude toward distracting thoughts

General:
Breathing in I smile, breathing out I relax.
